Dream City

Self healing. Oh what a powerful experience you are.
But I'm not here to bore you all with details ;) Instead, I'll speak of shoes and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings.
Or, how completely in love with traditional art I am. Maybe because it actually works for me. Hah. Seriously now, time to get a scanner and upload my recent work. Photographs just don't cut it, no matter how much editing in Photoshop it takes :(. I think the healing has helped the art block.

Shit happens. I hate that saying. But it does.
And it's hard to remember to breathe.
But I do breathe.
And I listen.
and I keep running with life :)

Kinda works.

In any case, I just didn't want this to be a quiz only journal. But *Winzer tagged me soooo. Here we go :)

1. Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, and find line 4.
"The woman pressed her palms into my fifth chakra and said 'you need to remember to let go right here'" -- My journal.

2. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What are you touching?
Depends on the direction. Straight ahead is my monitor, to the left is my shelf, on the floor is a camera, a shoe, and a half finished painting of something I am currently unfamiliar with.

3. What is the last thing you watched on TV?
House

4. Without looking, guess what time it is?
11:42 PM.

5. Now look at the clock. What is the actual time?
11:16PM WAY off. haha.

6. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
Cars buzzing down the freeway, late night chirpings of insects, my fingertips on the keys.

7. When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
A few hours ago, on the way to the coffee shop. I was thinking about life, about the odd things that continuously happen. The strange coincidences that follow me. The people that turn up. The people that disappear. What I want. What I need. How much I love being scared by people. How much I love when unexpected things turn my world upside down. When the norm gets shaken and my shell cracks open.

8. Before you started this survey, what did you look at?
My recent deviation, but in it's real form. The paper on which the drawing exists in it's non yellow photographed form.

9. What are you wearing?
Blue lace bra, gray tank top, and beige pants with lots of pockets. I feel like such a girl, eating chocolate sorbet and taking quizes at night.

11. When did you last laugh?
Talking to ~tabbykit on AIM, when she refrenced an RP we had YEARS and years ago, one in which her character, Siona, stabbed himself in the foot. Hehe.

12. What is on the walls of the room you are in?
A lot of artwork that *whirl-wind has mailed to me or given me when she came to visit. There's also a wind chime, glow in the dark stars, bells, necklaces, prints, bracelets, and my own paintings :)

13. Seen anything weird lately?
Few things weird me out. Though I did see a beautiful young woman picking at her butt. That made me laugh though. I also saw an elderly Chinese couple picking out lube at Target. That made me laugh as well, but not at them. I was more happy for them. They looked so excited!

14. What do you think of this quiz?
Same old. I'd like some deeply psychological questions that challenge me and make me really consider who I am. This kind of stuff I can just spew out.

15. What is the last film you saw?
Hm, film. I'm not sure I remember. I think I left the movie theater liking it. I know I had ice cream... Um. I was with my dad. Let me check fandango. I think it was Zombieland?

16. If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy?
Land, a little cottage, 6 swans, an adult sized playground, make sure my friends and family are taken care of, then probably donate what I can to a legit charity.

17. Tell me something about you that I don't know:
I am absolutely and completely fascinated by things that society shuns. Dark things. Twisted things. Not necessarily things I would do, but things that other people do and the mental processes that surround them. The human mind captivates me to no end. Ever since I became aware that we only use a small portion of our minds, my curiousity has been ever present. And this is not limited to the dark things. Anything. Anything that isn't today's standard of Normal, I find myself loving.

I also adore trees, and often name them, tell them stories, and think about what would happen if they lifted their roots and started to dance.

Now what do you think of me? ;)

18. If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?
Abolish money, revamp america's school system (possibly others' though I don't have much knowledge about how other school systems work), probably make the world more like "Ecotopia" (read it, great book). Encourage the arts and music. Those sorts of things.

19. Do you like to dance?
Yes. I need to do it more.
A wise little thing explained a world where wars didn't exist because they danced their anger when it arose.

20. George Bush:
Oh politics.

21. Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?:
Many things. Ruby, Ira, Lotus, Feather, Aruna, amongst others.

22. Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?
Orion and many other names that shall be secret as well :)

23. Would you ever consider living abroad?
Absolutely. I'm not tied to one place or another.

24. What do you want God to say to you when you reach the pearly gates?
"This isn't what you think it is. Do you see me? Do you see you? Are you listening? Turn around. It doesn't work like this."
Because that's not what I believe in. Though I'm open to any possibility.

Hehe, I just finished this a while ago :giggle:

It's kinda funny, your answer to something we probably don't know about you, I sort of did. Your personality and emotions really shine through your art and I love it

Isn't the human mind just awe inspiring? I just can't quite wrap my mind around it ;)

Atoms...... it's hard for me to comprehend them... they seem so unreal..... :O

Self healing?

I am very glad you're feeling good.

Reading this quiz was interesting and informative, and reminds me that we really need to hang out again. It feels like it's been forever, haha.

As a side note, do you mind if I yoink the quiz?

Extinction is more than the end of something with a long run in the past. Extinction is murdering everything that would have evolved from that species in the future.

I adore traditional art...it's so much easier for me to concentrate on the details then. With digital, I just kinda try to get it done :XD: I'd love to see what you've been working on! =D
