I am all for those crazy little tricks that get the inspiration going. Especially making some up, on the fly. The other day I was in Starsucks (starbucks) with ~
Oakwitch and we started playing a game. It involved a newspaper, shouting out a random number, an much word circling. The result were some very funny and abstract sentences!
For example:
That on of, the Of Of.The Of Of being, as we later decided, a creature of fuzzy residue. (Fuzzy residue was a clue in the Crossword Puzzle)
A favorite of mine was:
But comes do the to,
Are trying you you,
to ISounds like an E. E. Cummings poem, no? haha.
Livability to three bathrooms, transportation provides many Iron. And I later decided that these things would be immensely fun and challenging to draw. I might just do that

And now that quiz that's been circulating!
Why did you join this site?My first account, ~
CrickWing was created in 2004, I believe, after much prompting from friends over on Neopets. I have since lost the password (and email) to that account. Ah well. No more club
What does your username have to do with you? Is it a combination of your favorite things, or a character of yours?Well this is a variation on my original username, which was based on the children's book of the same title. However, I started going by "Cricket" at a similar point in time, and after I moved "CricketWings" seemed to fit

Most still don't know that my real name is Ashley, and I don't mind being called that!
What is your current icon of?It's my character, Delirium (aka Dil). It is a shared icon with the lovely *
whirl-wind, designed by *
Diikae
How many watchers do you have and how many people are you currently watching?"She watches 113 people, while 1,020 people watch her." Ah, and like most, only about a third of those watchers are actually active, and maybe 20 or 30 actually bother to comment. Except on that big watcher feature, everyone came out of the closet. That kind of bothered me :/ I felt a little used.
Do you have more than one account?
- Used to explore my deeper creative side and not draw horses. I've since decided to just post all artwork here. That account will still be used for Photography, however.

Name 3 of your favorite artists on DA.

Which deviants do you admire because of their personality?
We mesh pretty well

A new friend of mine!

She takes a lot of bullshit from people and still brings a ton of love to this place. Love yuh, Michelle.

My god, Liz really knows how to crack me (and many others) up! She's amazing. I hope to get to know you more in the future, my jelly bean
How many people on here do you actually know in reality? Post their avatars.

Do you comment, fave, or both? Both, as often as I can. Commenting especially, unless the piece has a great deal of comments already and I feel I have nothing to add that hasn't already been said.
What do you typically post on deviantart?Fantasy Realism
Do you participate in clubs or contests here on DA?Contests, but not usually clubs.
What is your most popular deviation?
What's your favorite submission in your gallery?
What are the things you wish you could draw better?Forest scenes, backgrounds in general. I love trees so much, but I have a terrible time drawing them realistically.
Are you a subscriber?Yes! Thank you to everyone who donated!
How many hours a day do you spend on DA?Um, usually not that much. I sign on frequently through out the day, but never for more than 5-10 minutes at a time. The most time I spend is writing journals. Other than that, checking messages and replying to comments hardly takes any time at all
Are you a fast, slow, or medium typer?I consider 90 words per minute pretty fast

So yeah, I'm fast!
What is your favorite emoticon?
What is the most annoying thing people ask you?I love helping people, I really do, but it bothers me to NO end when I get comments where people ask for help and expect me to do all the work for them. "I need help with ideas"... I can't really help you there, because I have a hard enough time coming up with my own ideas. I can point you to helpful resources, no problem, you just have to take the time to learn yourself. I can't fork over my brain for you to pick through x_x I learned most of what I know from tutorials here, art classes in school, and my own hard work. I don't get too many annoying comments, which is nice.
What is the most annoying comment you get?See above! Also, I really don't like it when people comment with one word. "Nice," "Pretty," "Awesome," "Cute," etc. I appreciate that, and I know sometimes it's hard to word how you feel about a piece, but I like actually being able to reply to comments, and those don't give me much to work with... So I just say "Thank you" and move on. x____x
What inspires you?My dreams and my unconscious mind! Some of my best pieces have come forth from just letting my hands do what they want to, and working from there
Do you use any traditional media?Definitely falling in love with graphite! Hopefully I'll have a scanner soon to show some of my recent work.
Have you ever suggested a Daily Deviation?I've suggested many, but this one is the only one that actually got a DD:
Everyone has considered leaving DA once or twice. Have you? Why?I've had no reason to leave. Everyone has been really wonderful to me, through all my lame jokes and random vulgarities. I haven't had too much trouble with copyright infringement. I see DA as a great resource! If I ever do disappear, I doubt it will be permanent. We all need breaks every now and then.
Devious Comments
I am proud to be an active watcher of yours, and i don't even know what this 'watcher-feature' thing is, SO MEH.
I always look forward to your comments. It's nice to know that there are other sane people existing on the interwebs.
Also, so much love for e. e. cummings. Ugh. He's 1/3 of the poet's i actually enjoy and feel have worthwhile writing.
I also like this game, I think i'm going to steal it from you.

Haha seriously. And I look forward to your comments too!
Oh man, Poets! I'm so picky about them. Luis Carol (and everything in Alice in Wonderland!), Edgar Allan Poe, E.E. Cummings, Robert Frost, Alexander Pope, and William Blake are all favorites of mine
DO TEH GAME! It's so fun!
--
Ah, you give the best comments ever. I feel like you actually LOOK at my image, in depth! <3 LOVE

Haha well thanks lovely, good art deserves to be stared at!

I get it, you can't comment on EVERY piece by EVERYONE you watch.
But it try to be a diligent watcher for almost everyone that I watch, who is active.
But people that just come out of the woodwork to get featured...meh. MEH I SAY.
I never really consider Luis Carol a poet, but he is. I don't know why, I just forget him. Poe has some stuff i really really love, some stuff I'm just so-so on, and overall I like his stories more than his poetry. (Though The Raven and Sonnet to Science = yum.) But the other two poets I would give my life to are Allen Ginseberg and T. S. Eliot.
e. e. cummings holds a special place in my heard for breaking every single rule writing ever had, and making language sound so delicious doing it. Also I always use him in the argument that formatting definitely matters in writing - if you write something in a paragraph it won't have the same impact if you read it in the formatting the artist wanted.

Yeep, I know, I hate leaving comments that are one word lol...or getting them for that matter. From now on, I resolve to not to. Do that.
