[CONTEST RULES]

This is my third contest, and I am very excited to host it Prizes will be delicious!
The theme this time around is Mythological Deities. I want to see how others can incorporate my characters into scenes from traditions around the world. Egyptian, Greek, Babylonian, Celtic, Native American... if the story exists you can use it!

Please note me or comment here if you would like to donate prizes!

I would love to see my characters in those stories. You can draw them as a particular god or goddess, or you can have them interacting with one. And the character you choose does not have to retain an equine form. I would be thrilled to see them as a fox, human, fairy, fawn etc. Whatever you want, really, as long as it fits the myth you pick. They don't even have to maintain gender, as most Deities can be represented as both.

For example, you can portray Valar as Hades. Or StormCry as Atum-Ra. Or Dil could be Hera, arguing with a Zeus like figure.

Important Notes: It would be wise to match personalities or abilities with the scene being represented. For instance, my character "Zero" would not make a very good Demeter . Please make sure you are informed on the character you are drawing, and the Myth/Deity they are representing.

RULES
Please note me when you submit an entry.
Make sure, somewhere in your description you state the myth/god (depending on which you do), the character used, and the region of the world the tradition originated in. If you decide to portray a specific scene from a myth, please either write a short summary of the myth, or link to a site where I can read the myth myself . These things would be very helpful!
Please refrain from using line art created by another artist. I would like these to be completely made from scratch.
Please submit completed images! I'm a big fan of backgrounds . If you feel like you aren't capable of producing a background, textures or flat colors are fine too. I'm really not a fan of white empty space
If you use a reference make sure to give credit!
You may use ANY MEDIA under the sun. The more creative you get with this, the better! Digital paintings, photo manipulations, photography, sculpture, finger painting, even writing...you name it! :] I'd be thrilled to see something really abstract!
This, by no means, has to be realistic. I am very fond of the surreal, the abstract, the twisted and horrific. If someone submitted something in a cubism style, I think I would cry with joy .

StormCry:

Build: Lipizzaner
Height: 19 1/2 hh
Abilities: Weather/Storm manipulation. Tears bring rain (cliche, I know XD. I was 12 when I made him), intense rage brings thunder/lightning. All other forms go without any visible changes.
Personality: He is wise, polite, regal, elegant. His movements are swift and fluid. He is the lead stallion of a large herd. He is extraordinarily protective of them. Sometimes he is reclusive and guarded. He often doesn't say much, but deep down there is quite a playful side to him.
Additional facts: He has a rep for being a heartbreaker (wasn't my intention D: ), there is a spiral shaped fleshy scar on his right side (visible here: [link])

Valar

(a very old image brought back to life )
Build: Thoroughbred-ish
Height: 17 hh
Abilities: Not exactly an ability, but he guides souls once the body is dead. They are attracted to him like moths to flames.
Personality: Awkward to the extreme, sarcastic, blunt, straight to the point, doesn't really care what he says to others, lack of remorse etc.
Additional facts: HIS MANE IS NOT A RAINBOW. It consists of purple, yellow, red, orange and magenta. No green, no blue. The pattern is very specific (see ref sheet). His eyes consist of the same colors as his mane. His hooves are a charcoal/silver.

Delirium

Build: Morgan
Height: 13.2 hh
Abilities: She manipulates dreams. She can will herself to fly, even though she isn't winged. Also, when she is particularly happy, stars shine brighter.
Personality: Brat. Big brat. Feed her compliments and you are on her good side. She loves a witty battle, but those usually turn sour. She dislikes when her dominance is challenged. She LOATHES sunlight, but will put up with it if a charming gentleman is in the area. All of this is a big defense mechanism. Inside she can be insecure, especially when specific topics are brought up. She always keeps her composure, when she can.
Additional facts: her eyes emit a soft glow, occasionally her hooves as well. star like patterns are only on her neck/back and legs. Mane is white with a very faint tint of blue. She was born from a nebula before life existed on earth. Oh and her nickname is DIL not Del.

Cozmiah

Build: Gypsy Vanner
Height: 14 1/2 hh (size ratio on ref is probably way off)
Abilities: no out of the ordinary abilities, other than she is a very lovely dancer.
Personality: She is a bright little ball of sunshine, always thinking on the positive. She is polite, kindly, almost motherly.
Additional facts: The lanterns are lit by fireflies. Her horn is a branch, and the leaf changes with the seasons. She travels with a band of gypsy humans. She has a gypsy irish accent like brad pitt in Snatch Her mane is dreadlocked.

Calanth

Build: Arabian (out of date images D: )
Height: 16 hh
Abilities: skin is naturally mirror like, reflecting surroundings. His shape, size, coloring, and smell changes when he is in the presence of another, based on their soul/personality.
Personality: Quiet, pleasant, thoughtful, honest. He is open and understanding of others, and greatly values the relationships he forms through good conversation I don't really know how to describe him because he isn't too deeply developed yet XD.

Zero

Build: haven't decided yet. HELP ME XD (bad with breeds)
Height: 16.2 hh
Abilities: Zero creates vortexes that suck people into alternate realities/demesions, or maybe just some far away distant place. He doesn't need to breathe.
Personality: Because of his extensive knowledge of space, life, and matter, when encountering others he tends to be elitist, unless someone happens to meet his standards. And his standards are VERY high. Often times, others leave feeling insulted by him, though it isn't his intention to do so. He greatly loathes having to reduce himself just to have functional conversation. That's most of the time, mind you. Sometimes, the knowledge drives him "insane"... Once or twice, Dil has seen him from a far, thrashing about wildly... his limbs were moving in ways they should not. Eventually his body would disassemble (as though being sucked through a black hole again) and reassemble again. Somewhat like a slowed down explosion, without the fire and smoke and blood and guts... just one particle at a time.
Additional Info: Zero was the result of a star's death and transformation into a black hole. It took eons for his form to solidify because as he was reassembling his body, his very soul was also being sucked back into the black hole. The constant birth and rebirth did horrible damage to his mind/body/soul, but allowed him to obtain infinite knowledge regarding space, life, and matter. Furthermore, he found himself able to manipulate vortexes/wormholes, which was how he eventually managed to escape the clutches of the black hole.
