I was wondering when it would happen eventually. Another Photobucket steal.
On the bright side, it's just a line art, they used my DA username... and they didn't claim it as their own.
[link]Still though, I should probably make it clear that my resources are to be used on DA only unless I give specific permission. And now, anyone who has access to photobucket has access to that line art without my rules. Ugh.
On top of that, FIDM wants me to take classes at a community college for a year before I am considered for acceptance. I HATE community college. It was like a bigger high school. It's one of the big reasons I actually chose FIDM... it's small, short years, teachers actually give a shit, and I feel comfortable on the campus. I really thought I was done with that part of my life. *sigh* Not the worst thing in the world, but... I was ready to go in October. Now I have to wait a year and a half... All this time and effort and pushing and struggling just to be considered for that school, and now it's even further out of reach.
I haven't cried this hard in such a long time. I should probably learn to stop making such big expectations for myself.
I'm just.... very discouraged as of late. So much, in fact, that I don't even really care about the art theft. It's hard to look on the bright side these days.
So excuse me if I am less than bright around here.

Alharaca is a wonderfully unique artist. I adore her photographs, manips, and paintings. She's definitely not your average artist, and deserves SO much more attention. Check her out, it's VERY worth the visit!

I'm too young to go, but I can imagine how hard it would be to go back to a community college -- going to only the art classes at my highschool is troublesome enough.
And as for the art, well, it has made me realise that I need to be more vigilant. I'm going to go do a web search now.
And unless a stupid person is reading it, it's obvious that the titles of all the lineart images are usernames of some sort..
I guess you could call it stealing, but look at it this way. Not only did someone think your art interesting enough to host up, they didn't pretend they made it. Which is a lot more than a lot of people do when it comes to art "theft."
You could just contact the guy, you know.
And as far as the college thing ... yes, that sucks, I admit.
But don't look at it as another 'WHOLE YEAR' of community college .. take it as it comes and split it up in your head. Hell, you can even be like "well, now I can try to garner even more background and they'll be even MORE likely to accept me". And if the art classes are killing you, you could take one of the really-cool-subject-general ed classes on the side. Talk to the teachers in advance, maybe. (though I think I'd be too afraid to :3) Also which one would you be attending? Would it be DVC again .....? Because if not, who knows, maybe the DVC people got influenced by being right next to a highschool and middle school ... xP But really, the environment might be different.
And what have the FIDM people said so far, aside from taking that extra class?
Anyway, I guess, overall .. don't think of it as being wrenched away from your goal of getting into FIDM. Think of it as that one little hurdle left until you can finally live up to your dream.
that's what it is, really, you know ... it's a matter of knowing how to think about things. :3
